What is the Nocturna Pro watercolor brushes hair made of? There has been quite a bit of confusion about the hair on the Langnickel Nocturna Pro brushes. They actually have two different series of these brushes, the Nocturna Pro Series and the Nocturna Series. The hair on the Nocturna Pro Series is 100% synthetic and the Nocturna Series is a mixture of Squirrel hair and synthetic hair. The Nocturna line has been discontinued, but, we still have some of these brushes for sale.
The Langnickel Nocturna Pro Series brushes are made up of a premium blend of synthetic hair that work well with watercolor, inks, and fluid colors. They hold a large amount of water and color similar to natural hair brushes. Delicate and bold strokes are made easily, with the brush springing back consistently.
