Q: I recently received a new set of Aqua-Flo brushes (AQFLO-100) and would like to know the best way to clean the protective coating off these new brushes. I have rinsed them in clear water, but there still seems to be a soapy feel to the golden taklon bristles. I really enjoy the convenience of this type of water brush and they seem to hold up well. However, it has been several years since I’ve had new refillable brushes and I have quite forgotten how to prepare them for first use. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you..

A: It is best to rinse them with warm soapy water and then clear water.
